little egg harbor shooting

A gunman who opened fire and murdered his brother and a neighbour has been found dead today. According to reports he turned the gun on himself after the murders and committed suicide. Sources say there was no clear indication of a rift between the siblings and so they are no clearer as to a motive.

Craig Mueller shot his brother from a window of the house they shared. When Bryan Mueller fell down on the sidewalk, one of the neighbors, Kara Ellis came running to help him. Then, the shooter, killed the young woman in cold blood. After the double homicide, he turned the gun to himself and pulled the trigger. It all happened at around 11 a.m., on Westchester Drive. According to police officials , both victims suffered multiple shots, as the attacker used an AR-15 assault rifle.“At this point it’s just a mystery. We’re as shocked at this as anyone else. It makes no sense,” said Ocean County Prosecutor Marlene Lynch Ford. Police blocked the roads and locked down schools in the area as they searched for the gunman.

Rick Sanchez Jon Stewart

Rick Sanchez Jon Stewart

Rick Sanchez landed himself in hot water on Friday by stating on comedian Pete Dominick's satellite radio show, that Jon Stewart is a "bigot" and everyone that runs The Daily Show is "a lot like stewart". This ultimately saw him getting fired from the CNN network and the company issuing the statement: "Rick Sanchez is no longer with the company. We thank Rick for his years of service and we wish him well."

After calling Stewart a bigot, Sanchez, who is frequently mocked on 'The Daily Show,' continued his tirade. Even when Dominick pointed out that Stewart is Jewish and a minority too, Sanchez kept going, saying, "I'm telling you that everybody who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart, and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart, and to imply that somehow they, the people in this country who are Jewish, are an oppressed minority? Yeah."

Sanchez appeared on Dominick's radio show as part of a tour promoting his book, 'Conventional Idiocy.' He hasn't responded to requests for comment about the interview or his dismissal.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The breast cancer awareness month starts today, 26 years after October was first named breast cancer awareness month, and the illness still affects many, many people each year. However new medical advances and treatments have transformed the disease from a near death sentence to a survivable condition.

In a report, researchers say 60 years ago, a woman who received a breast cancer diagnosis had just a 25-percent chance of living ten years. Today the survival rate is higher than 75%. That’s according to a study of women treated at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Men get breast cancer too, though much less frequently than women. For every 100 cases in women, one man gets breast cancer, according to the CDC. It's also important to know the warning signs of breast cancer.

These include:

* New lump in the breast or underarm (armpit).
* Thickening or swelling of part of the breast.
* Irritation or dimpling of breast skin.
* Redness or flaky skin in the nipple area or the breast.
* Pulling in of the nipple or pain in the nipple area.
* Nipple discharge other than breast milk, including blood.
* Any change in the size or the shape of the breast.
* Pain in any area of the breast.
