In Touch, a Hollywood celebrity magazine published weekly, has reported that father of Jessica Simpson, Joe Simpson, is undecided whether he would want his daughter getting married to the former NFL player Eric Johnson.
It had initially been reported that the father of the famous hollywood actress had given his blessing regarding the event but now has had second thoughts because of the dependency it is alleged that the ex football player is placing on Jessica. He is also concerned as she is tending to be taking care of all finances as Eric Johnson is currently unemployed.
So there could be some unrest within the Simpson camp because of this hardship.
Eric Johnson has been languishing in the NFL wilderness since the New Orleans saints released him in 2008 but is his highly publicised engagement to star Jessica Simpson going to see his career get a welcome boost? He has seen a lot more exposure since dating Jessica Simpson and their relationship has sparked questions of whether he is just doing it to get himself a return into the NFL.
It does seem awfully convenient that Eric Johnson proposed to Jessica Simpson a week or so after her ex-husband, Nick Lachey, proposed to his girlfriend, Vanessa Minnillo. Singer Jessica Simpson is set to get hitched to her NFL pro boyfriend, Eric Johnson, sources confirmed today with Us magazine. The couple became engaged on Thursday, only days after the magazine broke the news that her ex-husband, Nick Lachey, proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Vanessa Minnillo.
Reports stated that the singer showed off a large ring on her left hand during her appearance at Dillard’s at Oak Park Mall in Kansas City on Saturday. The couple began dating in May while he was still estranged from his first wife, Keri Johnson. Five months later the divorce was finalized. She told the press recently that her and Johnson were best friends and that she loves him. Simpson’s brother-in law, Pete Wentz, told People Magazine: “He’s a really smart guy, and Jessica really loves him. I think that’s the most important thing, seeing her happy.”
So wedding bells will be ringing for the actress and singer, aged 30, and very coincidental that it should happen days after her ex gets engaged...
