Fifty years ago, on January 20th 1961, John F. Kennedy announced his inaugural address as the 35th president of the United States. Kennedy delivered the speech on a cold, harsh day in the capital, Washington, D.C. Despite the setting being bitter, there was much rejoicing and hope for the future.

Google has already commemorated the 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy's Inaugural Address with a cool doodle. Now, other organizations are using online video sharing as a vehicle for remembering the day - and there are some great video optimisation tactics to be learned from their strategy.

So many organisations are capitalising on the anniversary of one of the United States greatest presidents today.

A woman in an American mall has been made famous by mall security cameras capturing footage of her walking right into and falling into a fountain because of being preoccupied with texting. Cathy Cruz Marrero’s fall was caught on video(pictured left) by mall security cameras and it’s nearing 2 million views on YouTube.

And apparently, she now wants to sue the mall for making her famous. “I didn’t get an apology, what I got was, ‘At least nobody knows it was you,’ ” Marrero said in an interview on “Good Morning America” today. “But I knew it was me.” As all classy folks looking for a quick buck do, she jumped in front of the cameras. Marrero was so oblivious that she had no idea what happened till her face hit the water. “Unfortunately, I didn’t have anything to grab onto and hold my balance,” she said.

So a very unfortunate and undeniably hilarious moment could prove to also be a profitable one from the woman in this incident.

Kat Von D has opted to Twitter her excitement regarding her newly planned engagement to Jesse James. Jesse has decided to take the plunge back into marriage less than a year after his divorce to Sandra Bullock and it's evident that the West Coast Choppers creator doesn’t have any fear of moving on.

Overwhelmed with joy right now!” She also Tweeted some messages to her fiance, joking, “@FreeJesseJames I guess the “kat” is outta the bag, eh?” Jesse has been all a flutter on Twitter as well, directed two special messages — written in Spanish — to Kat. “@thekatvond Me gustaría estar con ustedes en este momento. So another celebrity couple planning to tie the knot and declare it to the world using the social network Twitter.

Star of classic film "Easy Rider", Peter Fonda stumbled across a dead body whilst driving down Sunset Boulevard in the Pacific Palisades community of west Los Angeles on Wednesday, reports have emerged. 70 year old Fonda noticed that a car had been parked on the side street off Sunset Boulevard for two days.

So he stopped to check it out, according to Los Angeles Police Homicide Detective Allen Shubert. "He looked in the vehicle and saw a body in there and called the fire department," Shubert said. A man who had committed suicide several days before was slumped over the wheel of the sedan, he said. The man's identity has not been made public, but he was not a celebrity, he said.

So an unsavoury incident for the actor and here's hoping that relations of the man are able to cope with the situation as best as they possibly can.

The Verizon iphone is finally upon us and this new gadget from Verizon makes it possible for users to have a CDMA alternative to the AT&T version which appeared in the summer of 2010. The Verizon version of iphone 4 has a few major differences to the AT&T version and the most significant is the antenna not having a visible gap on top and a lack of a SIM slot.

Ars contributor Chris Foresman reported that bridging the remaining gap on the Verizon iPhone (using the "death grip," he says) did not result in any kind of CDMA signal attenuation. He also placed a call while death gripping and said that there was no noticeable signal loss. Despite the wording used on Verizon's FAQ page, the WiFi hotspots are controlled via built-in preferences, not from a separate app loaded onto the device.

So another device from Verizon which is sure to garner some mass popularity from the public and see it fly off the shelves.

Arizona inhabitants are making strides to prevent the Westboro Baptist Church from disrupting the funerals for the victims of Saturday's tragic shootings in Tucson, with bikers and others planning a massive counter attack and state lawmakers fast-tracking a bill to harbor the group.

The Kansas-based Westboro church, (example of their protest pictured left) is notorious for showing up at the funerals of dead soldiers and other high-profile gatherings wielding anti-gay signs but when the church announced it would picket the funeral Thursday Gabrielle Giffords, Tucson- and Phoenix-area residents started organizing immediately. "It makes me sick to my stomach," said Glen Littell, who's bringing a pack of bikers from the Phoenix Motorcycle Rider Group to Tucson on Thursday. "They're a stench from a slaughterhouse."

So the Westboro Baptist Church are stoking more flames, this time at the funerals of the Arizona shootings and here's hoping that their presence is eradicated.
